I am so excited about this!! I keep thinking back to last year and how I could have used this information. As a portfolio assignment I had my kids read the definition of immigration as defined on wikipedia and then write an editorial on whether they agreed with this definition or would like to change it and what would they change . Now maybe for next year if I do this same portfolio assignment with my Spanish I classes I can actually give a very real world take on it and develop our own wiki, with our own definitions on this topic.
Also, I keep thinking about my Spanish III class that I will be teaching this year and how most of them have access to computers and how I can now blog, develop digital stories, and our very own wikis.
